Béchamel sauce!! Let's sweeten it with some sweet potatoes and pure vanilla.




Finding a vegetable that could be turned into a sweet delicious, creamy dessert gives you the excuse to munch on it as much as you want!! You always have the answer, sweet potato is a vegetable THUMBS UP ..



Sweet Potatoes with Béchamel

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kilo of sweet potatoes                    
  • 1 table spoon of flour                         
  • 1 vanilla                                           
  • 1 liter of full fat milk                                
  • 200 grams of sugar                                


Béchamel Method:

Heat the a liter of milk in a deep pan, mix the other half of liter of milk with 1 table spoon of flour, when the milk is warm, start adding the milk and the flour mixture and keep steering in the same direction nonstop till the mixture thickens, now add a pinch of vanilla powder.

Note: Cook the mixture on very low heat.



Method:

  1. Cut the sweet potatoes into small cubes, now add them in a deep pan, add the sugar, add 1 table spoon of vanilla powder, and leave them to cook on low to medium heat for about 20 to 30 minutes.

  1. After the sweet potatoes have softened and mixed we with the sugar start mashing them with a potato masher.

  1. Now get a Pyrex tray and pour the sweet potatoes mixture in it and then our over the sweet potatoes the béchamel sauce, put it in the oven on medium heat for about 10 to 15 minutes till the top part turns golden brown.
